Jörn Lötsch

Jörn Lötsch MD, is Full Professor of Clinical Pharmacology with a focus on sensory and analgesic pharmacology, employing a broad spectrum of experimental and clinical methods including pharmacogenetics and -epigenetics, pharmacokinetics, informatics, neurophysiological tools up to pharmacological fMRI assessments.

In GLORIA, Prof. Lötsch works on genome-wide candidate gene approaches and epigenetic analyses with a focus on gene-specific DNA methylation of opioid and TOL like receptors and global methylation degree of retrotransposons such as LINE-1 and histone modification analyses to study the effects of pro-inflammatory risk factors for chronic pain in all available cohorts. He applies computational approaches to complex phenotypes.
