Dr. Yulia Sidorova received her PhD degree in Biochemistry in 2005, and joined Mart Saarma’s group to develop small molecules targeting RET receptor. She has developed assays for selection and characterisation of GFL mimetics/RET agonists, characterised important structural determinants of GDNF for its biological activity and elucidated structural basis for differential kinetics of RET down-stream targets. She has authored or co-authored 11 original research articles, a book chapter, and several publications in conference proceedings.
Dr. Sidorova’s tasks in GLORIA are screening of chemical libraries and selection of GFL mimetics; specificity confirmation and studies on mode of action; and development and adaptation of TLR4 assays and testing of TLR4 antagonists.
